Florendo Llameg
B.A., LL.B.
Florendo completed his B.A in 1983 and his LL.B. in 1988, both from the University of the Philippines. He was called to the Philippine Bar in 1989, New York State Bar in 2004 and Ontario Bar in 2007.
Florendo practiced in the Philippines from 1989 to 2001, both in private practice and as in-house corporate counsel. His last stint in the Philippines was as Chief Legal Counsel of a group of companies engaged in diversified businesses, which include lending, real estate, restaurant chain and garment manufacturing.
Florendo worked for a private Ontario company in the financial services sector from 2001 to 2002 with the primary responsibility of overseeing security documentation on lending transactions. In 2003, he joined what is currently the largest full-service law firm in Toronto outside of the downtown core initially as Corporate and Commercial Law Clerk, and later as an Associate doing business law and real estate transactions for 16 years. In April 2019 Florendo started his sole practice and put up his own firm operating as Llameg Law Office with office in Toronto.
Florendo’s practice continues to focus on general corporate and commercial work, including incorporations, corporate organizations and re-organizations, sales and acquisitions of business, financing, shareholders agreements and not-for-profit and charities. He also has an active real estate practice handling purchases, sales and mortgages, both residential and commercial.
Florendo is a member of good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, New York State Bar and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. Florendo is also a member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce-Toronto and the Filipino-Canadian Real Estate Association.
